About us
Although AM Training & Services Ltd is a very young company, Alec McCann has over 20 years’ experience in various condition monitoring roles from providing services, delivering training and implementing systems in various industries.
Alec McCann holds the following certifications:
• Vibration Analysis Category 4
• Infrared Thermography with Electrical Category 2
• Lubrication Management Category 1
• Airborne Ultrasound Category 1
• BOSIET & MIST
He has also written training manuals for different organisations including vibration analysis, lubrication management, introduction to thermography, on-site data collection using various systems and theory of alignment / balancing.
Alec McCann is also studying project management through distance learning and this will lead to the certification of Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Alec McCann holds an MSc in Maintenance Systems – Engineering and Management from Glasgow Caledonian University and has experience in many fields such as maintenance, construction and shutdown roles. He has been a contractor site foreman on several power station shutdowns in South Africa.
